Utorrent tracker always updating

Rated 3.82/5 based on 691 customer reviews

I hve 2342 torrents currently with a tracker and my passkey was inadvertedly reset (as i am newbie and have no idea, plain stupid really) --- But apparently my blunder would not be such a big issue if I was using another torrent client.

--- Plus i checked the forum, and others see it as a valuable feature https://forum.transmissionbt.com/viewtopic.php? Since you didn't specify which client you're using, I'm going to guess its Transmission-Mac. I know that in Transmission-Qt you can already do what you describe, which by the way, is not really how its done: what you want is to add new tracker information (which may include a pass-phrase or similar code used in private trackers), and delete the old tracker information.

You will have to leave black space after each link otherwise it will not work Please follow the screenshots.

If some of this torrent tracker from list does not work that means that server might be offline.

Please try to update that specific tracker after few hours or day.

Otherwise you can leave it as it is because by default utorrent clients automatically updates list of torrent trackers.

Anyways, it has always been a Mac client only problem. Just need to be able to force a data verify without having to add the torrent(s) again and it's done but, I digress :) Mandrake user came into the #transmission channel today asking for help creating torrents.

https://github.com/Entware-ng/entware-packages/commit/fd26868c3f0bd9cd4ee2f95adc4b2c1ce65368f8 If patched to run a script on torrent added usage as exampled at Adding more trackers "...

If that does not work than download new torrent(.torrent file) for same stuff you are trying to download.

As explained by this answer, adding trackers to torrents may speed up their download, as well as allow you to share the files with more peers. And if they've just added the tracker, guess what, you'll already see them on the tracker that came with it.

So would not that mean it is definitely an enhancement that would benefit Mac users?

This was first submitted to trac ~5 years ago by another user and it received comments from me and a couple of users over the years but, I can not find the original ticket. I had to re-register for trac too so maybe some data was purged.
